La Tanzanie lors de son premier match de la phase de groupe de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations 2023, a été étrillé 3-0 par le Maroc demi-finaliste du dernier mondial. Après cette rencontre Adel Amrouche le sélectionneur de la Tanzanie a tenu des propos graves à l’encontre de la CAF. Et il a été suspendu pour 8 matchs par la commission de discipline. Dans la foulée, la Fédération Tanzanienne de Football le vire de son poste.
